Seattle's Beito's First Major Award leads Cascades to Postseason

The Seattle Cascades have made the playoffs after more than a decade, and young reliever Stefan Beito has some hardware to go along with it. The 26 year old reliever had a breakout season this year, going 15-3 in 95 appearances out of the bullpen. He finished the year with a 2.72 ERA, 0.83 WHIP, and 5.5 H/9. He also converted 10 of his 14 save attempts. After being snubbed, and left off the Cy Young ballot, Beito took home the prestigious Reliever of the Year Award, and pitched admirably in his first career postseason appearance, a 3-2 Game 1 Loss in Chicago. Expect more of the same moving forward for the leagues best young reliever, especially with fellow youngster Xin Su's steady improvement pointing towards a breakout year next season, and the expected arrival of highly touted prospect Hugh Burton in the Seattle bullpen for 2031.
