Biggest Surprise: SP Kim-Bo Kyung - Osaka Samurai (#11 Overall)

This is not a knock on Kyung at all, but this is once again indicative of the obsession with pitchers in this league. He will be a solid starter, but doesn't project much past a #2 or #3, and for a team that has nothing else in the cupboard, he will unfortunately be looked on as a bit of a disappointment because of his lower ceiling, and therefore smaller projected production.

Biggest Steal: RF Isaac Bershawitz - Texas Rangers (#5 Overall)

Long thought to be the top talent in the draft, he is the most ready power bat in the draft, and (once again) a mid-top 10 team finds a top talent fall to them because of the rush for pitching in this league.

Potential Sleeper: SP Jemal Assefa - Los Angeles Angels (#7 Overall)

With a big budget and several pieces already in place, Assefa won't be asked to anchor the rotation for several more years. However, despite his age, he is ready to produce at a very high level almost immediately, and gives a team with a lot of money an inexpensive top of the rotation arm. In that respect, a selection like this would give LA a ton of extra money to resign departing superstar Dave Winfield Jr, who is one player expected to garner 1st Round Compensation money in a weak free agency class.
